Boxer Pal
I was wondering if by local boxer lady you meant Marita?

I do indeed, Bailey & Riley's mom. We've known Marita for, oh gosh, decades now. Our first boxer (as a married couple) came off the streets. We thought we tried the right thing by advertising we had found this dog. Marita called us and warned us to be careful about the people replying to the ad. That was in the late '70's, since then we've rescued Sophie, Hall-e, and Shadow through Marita. Poor lady heard from me too often our first days with Shadow. Her crazy behavior about sent me to the same crazy place. Marita and I would look up stuff, and try things desperately. The only other option for Shadow was the bridge, I'm afraid. But we hung on and now Shadow is a lot of fun, most of the time. We see Marita now and again at the vet's office.

Spent a lot of time in GJ over the years. One year our car broke down on the way to CA, so we spent a week in the Holiday Inn while it was being fixed. In the early 70's we lived in Avon, so GJ was often our place to shop. Glenwood was still pretty small.

It's always fun to meet someone from CO. I'll get some pics scanned and ready to post later today.

Thanks again everyone for the welcomes.

Boxer Pal
As requested I have posted some pics and stories. You'll find my current babies in the Show off Your Dog forum, and many of babies past in the Rainbow Bridge forum.

Be sure and check out Sophie's Just for grins in the Rainbow bridge. It's good for a chuckle.
