My name is Scott, and I'm a new member of the forums. I live in the Denver area, and my family and I are looking forward to finding a good match with a rescued dog. Any hints, helps, etc. are appreciated. I've been in contact with one of the rescue groups here already. We're just waiting until we get a few more things worked out around the house before we bring a dog into the family. We owned a boxer a few years back, but it wasn't the right time for us (I was traveling, my wife was busy with a lot of things, and our children were too little to help out much). I had a hard time giving her up, but she wasn't getting the attention she needed. I've since changed jobs (no more traveling), the kids are older, and everything has kind of calmed down for a while (we hope), so we've decided to bring another dog into the family.

I'm looking forward to being a part of the group and reading about all your experiences.

Completely Boxer Crazy
Welcome to BW! We have a 6 month old (Hammer) that we bought as a pup, and 3 weeks ago we rescued an 11 month old female (Ginger)!! If I knew what a joy rescue would be I would have all rescues, but of course, I wouldn't give Hammer up for anything! Big doofus that he is...

Good luck in your search. I know there is a boxer baby in Colorado looking for a good forever home!

Welcome

Welcom to BW Scott. We also live in the Denver area and adopted a 16 month old from someone in TX who had to move and could not keep Ciera. She has been the best dog ever. We lover her to pieces and will probably do a rescue in a year or two.
lovicon We LOVE our furbaby.
