Hi my name is Jessica and I live in Indiana with my husband, 2 children, 4 dog children (2 boxers, 1 shih tzu, & 1 choc. lab), 2 cat babies. We live in the country which works out great so all the dogs can get worn out from running and don't rough house inside.
My boxer babies are 1 1/2 and 5 months old. My oldest is a Male semi-flashy brindle named Kain (nickname is Kainer or Kainer rainer,
totally random I know) and my youngest is a semi-flashy brindle named Lexi (she is nickname-less). I have wanted a Boxer since as long as I can remember and finally talked my husband into the breed. We haven't been let down since. They are funny and so loving. My actual human babies are 23 months and 7 months. Which makes people that don't know the breed question why I have such big dogs with my little kids. But once they meet them it is pretty obvious. Both dogs are growing up with my babies and could care less when an ear is pulled or they get laid on. My daughter (23 month old) will walk up and grab Kain's jowels and squeeze them, then she gives him a big old kiss and he just loves it. She thinks they should play horsey as he is 84 lbs and he is happy to oblige. As she gets heavier he will just lay on the floor while she sits on his back and hugs and kisses. They also have the tendency to fight over toys. Kain and Lexi think that every baby doll and bouncy ball should be theirs and make a pretty fast attempt to steal them
Hope to learn lots more about the breed on this site. All comments are welcome.
Will post pics soon!!!
