Saturday, the local spca had a day in the park for dogs.

The local police department was there, and some of the officers were on horses. When Napoleon spotted the horses, he immediately started barking and backing up (he is such a chicken sometimes...)
Sandy on the other hand, almost pulled my arm off trying to get over to them.
She immediately walked up to one of them and came up on her hind legs, trying to kiss him. He was so sweet, he lowered his head and she started licking his muzzle. She has never even seen a horse. The officer said this horse loved other animals. He would raise his head shake it and put it back down so Sandy coudl kiss him again. It was so funny.

I have never seen this side of her before, she usually doesn't like dogs that are bigger than her. They never cease to amaze me.

That's one of the sweetest stories I've ever heard. Like kayboxer, horses are my 2nd favorite animal so a photo would have been great...but the one in my mind is quite wonderful

That is awesome. Wish you had a picture! I am horse crazy and hope that Cooper will be like that around them, I have yet to take him out to my friend's farm. I bet he will think a horse is a big dog and try to play with it.

That is such a cute story!! What a sweet girl you are Sandy!! I absolutely LOVE horses too! We have some land in NW Missouri that some friends keep horses, and Cyrus was so fascinated with them. He jumped the fence to get to them! He thought they were big playmates. You could tell he really liked them, but he was acting like a typical crazy Boxer jumping around and play bowing. The horses were all untrained yearlings, so I got him out of the pasture ASAP. I didn't want my pup to get kicked, but I think with a calmer horse, he would be fine with them.
