Boxer Pal
Hi all! I just wanted to introduce myself and let everyone know that I have enjoyed reading the messages - they have helped alot with our foster boxer. My husband and I wanted to adopt Chloe (after her spay next week), but she is other dog aggressive, especially towards our "old" mutt Rags. Poor Rags is terrified to move when Chloe is in sight. We are going to continue fostering Chloe until her forever home is found (easy to do since I am home all day, and can watch the girls!). Any advice on how to help her get along with Rags is appreciated, we have fallen in love with her and really want to adopt her, but we are afraid for our mutt...:(
Thank,
Michelle

How long have you been fostering her? Some acclamations take several weeks. We use a water bottle to keep ours in control ;) Whenever one begins to step out of line they get squirted with a very firm no. You may try doing that with her to let her know this type of behavior is not permitted. Good luck. You are wonderful for fostering, I know first hand how hard at times this can be yet it is very rewarding!

We have been fostering for 4 weeks now. :p My husband and think she was used for having puppies only - - She only goes after our other dog when she gets near us. I guess she doesn't think we have enough love for everyone in our home! We will keep trying to solve the problem with the girls, we don't give up that easy! We now know that boxers are the only (or primary) dog we will have. I want to foster more, but need to figure out how to not want them all!
:D
thanks for your advice - Michelle

We are guessing Chloe is between 1 and 1 1/2 yrs. old. She's a very pretty dark brindle. My husband (ok, me, too!)has her so spoiled, but how can you not spoil these adorable dogs (oops! don't tell 'em I said the "d" word!)
