I'm sorry to hear abour R.J. I hope he gets to feeling better soon. You may want to take him to the vet for a shot. I know when Jasmine hot craped to where you could actually see the muscle (no blood) the vet gave her a shot.

Update...

It has been a couple of weeks now, and my foster girl (Raivin) is doing awesome! She has settled right in, and I am so amazed and pleased with the change I have seen in her. I must admit, I was a little worried at first when she attacked R.J. Now, both of their wounds are healed (his puncture wound and her emotional wounds). She gets along great with both R.J. (boxer) and Hemi (boston), and is finally learning what it's like to be a dog who is loved by people and other dogs. Her appetite is back and she's learning to play with toys. It made me so sad to realize she likely was never played with, only scolded. She's a real snuggler with my kids and loves everyone. It is so nice to come home every day and see her little kidney beaning bottom! Her velvety soft boxer kisses remind me every day why I am involved with rescue. Thank you Raivin for showing us the value of patience, compassion and love. lovicon

I am sorry that I didnt catch this thread when it happened, I had the same issue (to some extent) with my second foster boy. Glad to hear that everything turned out well.

I missed this thread when it first posted, but I was so happy to see the outcome. I used to work with the local rescue here, and we did have a female that was quite aggressive. She did not like anything bigger than her. She nows lives with two males and at first, she would be really aggressive and want to fight, she even snipped at the little boy that she lives with. Luckily, her foster parents didn't jump the gun and get rid of her. when you first get a rescue, they feel so abandoned and heart broken that they forget how they are 'supposed' to act. They get really defensive and possesive... as shown in your case here, this will pass. (Of course there are exceptions.) I am so thankful that you gave Ravin the opportunity to show what a good girl she could be. Now you get to reap the benfits of your time and patience. She will love you forever for it. On behalf of Ravin, I would like to Thank you for all you do for these babies.... You are changing they're lives forever, more than you know.
