I apologize if someone's mentioned this before, but last night at the pet store, my husband and I noticed a huge display of "Royal Canin, Boxer 26"...a food just for boxers. We were sorta in a hurry, so we didn't take the time to read about it. anybody know anything about this?

I asked the same question if you do a search in the food forum you will find it..I use Nutro Ultra and have no desire to change:LOL:

hmmm...interesting stuff. We currently feed him Solid Gold and really have no desire to change either, I was just curious.

royal canin is the manufacturer of the boxer 26 food. it has been discussed several times in this forum. you can choose to do a search and read some of the previous threads.

royal canin has made the wdj list with their 'natural blend' formula. however, keep in mind that ONLY that formula from that particular manufacturer had made the list. the boxer 26 has not.

imo, after reviewing through their ingredients list for the boxer 26, i came to the conclusion that i could fine a much better food. personally, i think their "research" into various 'forms' of kibbles for specific breeds of dogs is for marketing purposes.

i currently feed cycles of solid gold, wellness, merrick, innova and canidae and see no real need to switch.
