My wife brought home a new kitten...cute for a cat. Anyway Spanky is going nuts...he just wants to play with it. The cat wants no part of that. No aggression at all Spanky just wants to lick and play. Will he enentually calm down? Right now we are just keeping them separated, but we are still trying to "introduce" them. Thanks

Good luck!

I would say that it varies from animal to animal... I have 2 kitties (3yrs & 1.5yrs) - and one is more tolerant of Cassius (almost 5 months) than the other... I have read that it is best to isolate the new addition, as opposed to Spanky - since it is Spanky's turf. Just my 2 cents! It will probably just take some time for the baby to get adjusted to living in it's new home. Best of luck to you, and Congrats on expanding the family!

When we brought our kitten home we first kept them separated(cat in bedroom), and let Buster and Bandit get to recognize her scent that way. The following day we took a baby gate and cut a big enough hole for the kitten to get through and allowed her to explore on her own and still have a means to escape if she felt threatened  . Good luck with whatever you try!!
