Switching Flavor Canidae

Since it is still the same brand food if i want to switch from the canidae i am on and go to lamb and rice do i have to slowly change the food.. Or just go directly to the lamb and rice?

Well, it's probably best to still do a gradual switch - unless you know your dog is pretty resistant to food changes (and many are!). The chances of having issues changing between these two formulas are less than might otherwise be the case - not just because they're the same brand, but because the lamb version contains nothing that the original version doesn't (ie. it just leaves out the chicken/turkey/herring). But that doesn't make it impossible that a fast change can cause some tummy upsets. So if you dog is the sensitive type, or you just want to play safe, then a gradual change-over is still the best way to go.

You can pickup at Pet Food Direct

I'm excited to try this. Currently on Healthwise Lamb. I got the Pet Food Direct Canidae Lamb deal too. $18.99 for 40 lbs and then my 25% off. If you live near their Harleysville, PA facility you can pick it up with No shipping charges.

Canidae

Kane and our new addition Cyris have been on Lamb and Rice by Canidae for a little over a week now and we have had no problems. They love the flavor. Their stools are smaller and firm. There have been no allergy symptoms as with previous brands.

We love it.

I used regular all life stages and have been using the new lamb abd rice for about a week and so far so good Tyson loves it and his stools are firmer.

I too have been using the original Canidae for a little over a year. Yoda and Kenobi have been doing great on it but I wanted to try something new with the same great quality. They have been on the Canidae Lamb & Rice for about a week and I don't know if it's my imagination but their furr seems even softer than before (and it was pretty darn soft already). It also doesn't hurt that it's currently priced at $19.99/40lbs at one of my local pet & feed supply stores ($10 cheaper than original Canidae).
