Thanks everyone for the messages! I'm not really sure at exactly how the site works just yet and I can't figure out how to post to each person who has posted to me separately so I just wanted to say thanks for the comments about Torbie!! He is doing great with going to the bathroom outside... I take him out 1st thing in the morning and give him his breakfast and after he plays and naps I take him out again and so on. He's really only gone inside a few times, and I simply put him outside for a few minutes after he goes so he knows that's the right place to go since I read on this board you should never yell at them when they do something wrong, but simply reward them when they are good and it seems to be working well!! It's also hard in the summer time to housebreak a dog since he likes to be outside a lot and I'm not positive he understands how good he's being when he goes outside. We are having trouble crate training him though because he thinks it is punishment and if I put treats in there with him, when I get home, he still wouldn't have eaten any of them!! so if anyone has any tips on that it'd be great
Also for sargejimenez, we're from Rochester NY...is anyone else in NY??
