Hi! We had a pen that we kept Sam in while we were at work and we would put his crate in there with him with the door open. We put paper and the puppy training pads out in the pen area and found that he went to the bathroom out there, never in his crate. After a while, I think about 1 month, we started just keeping him in the crate (since he got too smart for his own good and started climbing out of the pen) and he very rarely had accidents in there.

I think you're doing the right things and maybe the old habits will just take a little while to break.

Thanks for the encouragement it's gives me a glimmer of hope. I also want to thank everyone for suggesting pumpkin for diarrhea. Maggie started with "plate-size" liquid stools Wed. The Vet says she's fine, poop's fine...gave her endosorb. She didn't get better until I added pumpkin to her food Thurs., solid poop by Fri. night. I am so glad I have this resource. Thanks again. :D

Sounds like Maggie's is doing much better all around. So glad to hear! Keep up the great work! It's all worth it. Patience is the key and you seem to have that nailed.

Hi there and welcome to BW! Looking forward to seeing some pics of Maggie!
House training takes time and patience...sounds like you are getting there! I would continue to take her outside every chance you get...eventually she will get it! I think you are doing a great job!
