I agree. You really need to give it some time. Trucker was dog aggressive when we first brought him home. We had serious fights (all three dogs together, it was awful). And now he & Nano (our female) are best friends. It took some time for them to figure each other out and we had to supervise quite a bit but eventually they really developed a strong friendship.

Trucker & Rosco (my other male) get along too now but I’d say they more just co-exist or tolerate each other whereas Nano and Trucker really seem to enjoy each other’s company so I really believe the female/ male thing works best.

Maybe you can agree to foster him for a 30day trial run? I know from fostering it takes time before you really “know”.

I agree also.... Sam and Chief took almost two months to warm up to each other! It takes time for sure in most cases!
