New Boxer Mom looking for tips!

Hello All! I am getting my little girl Lola in a month (she is getting flown in from a breeder in OK) and I am looking for any tips or advice! I have read alot and know the basics; but any opinions on foods or certain toys for boxer pups that would be great! Wehave a pug but this will be our first big dog persay!!!!Any feedback would be MUCH appreciated!! Thanks!!!!

congrads on your puppy hope you post lots of pics when you get her. when we got chloe her fave toy was maxi there are lots of great toys for pups. they have little cuzs, and i found anthing that squeaks is a fave with chloe, still, jus watch out for parts that can come off or thin plastic that they can tear through and swallow.

Kongs are wonderful toys, and they come in different sizes. Can't wait to hear all about Lola!

Be patient....very very patient. These are some wonderful dogs, but they can be a little trying at times (bull-headed). It will be the best dog you've ever gotten!

Congrats on the new puppy, I bet you are so excited!! Some of our puppy Cooper's favorite toys are nylabones, his Kong (stuff it with treats and peanut butter), tug ropes, balls of all sizes, and anything with a squeaky in it! Of course all puppies are different and you really have to watch some pups with stuffed toys because some just want to shred them to bits and can choke or ingest pieces of the toy.. Cooper is good about just playing with them and literally flinging them up in the air and then pouncing on them. I think it is a great idea to start out with as many toys as you can, give your pup a toy box to keep them in, that way they have options and can learn from the very start where their own toys are and that they belong to them! Cooper is so good about playing with his stuff and does not get into other things since he has a lot of his own toys and knows where to find them. I agree, have lots of patience, and be ready to have a lot of fun, Boxers are wonderful!! Can't wait to hear all about your pup when she comes home!

the best toys we've found so far are definately the kong, the cuz, the kong wubba..... and for exercise.............. THE LASER POINTER!

The most important thing boxers need; lots and lots of love. They are very sensitive and need to feel loved at all times. They are also very sweet and will fill your life with joy. I feel very lucky to have a boxer in my life.
