Just doing a catch-up and read the whole of this post - it was like reading a book - all the drama and up and downs but a happy ending.

I hope Kona and Emma settle well with you and Jedi. How does your wife feel - from a non-doggy person with one boxer to 3 boxers! - she won't know what's hit her.

My wife AnnMarie is working on finding the positive sides to this. Her current is when Emma leaves, 2 will be so much easier after having 3, lol. Actually she is pretty good with it, mostly because she already knows both dogs entering the house and she knows the third one is temporary (still might be a bunch of months) to help a good friend. She is being a trooper about this and I have already told her how much she is appreciated.

Boy! just got back from vacation and read through this thread WOW! ups and downs and everything turns out alright in the end. Congrats for sure! I'm sure everything will turn out fine!

Hi Eve, I'm glad to hear you found a puppy! To be honest, it may possibly be best to wait until your puppy is older. We had some puppies come to the Boxer Bash last year. I sort of doubt they checked with their vet first, though. We have a Girl Scout troop coming in to help and to make sure each dog gets his/her own bowl of fresh water to drink, but it's not 100% that a puppy couldn't still manage to catch something.

However, I hope you will consider coming regardless! We are going to have an AMAZING silent auction (I'm going to go broke that day - I can feel it already) and door prizes that we'll be giving away throughout the afternoon. We have some wonderful guest speakers including Charlotte Gotz who was featured on the Boxer episode of Breed All About It. She will be introducing her new guide dog, Ali. We also have behaviorist Sarah Kalnajs coming in. She was so popular last year that we booked her for a full hour this year. All kinds of great stuff. We are really excited about it.
