We just picked up our little rascal yesterday. He is a beautiful fawn male with a white mask and collar. I wish I could post his picture here so everyone could see! We are having a tough time figuring out a name...some candidates are Tucker, Charlie, Woody, Henry. We just can't decide yet. He is doing very well with the crate training and housebreaking. We have stuck to our schedule and it really seems to be working well. Last night I got him up once to go out and he was fine for the rest of the evening. I'd say he lasted about 8 hours total including one break. I'm pretty impressed! We are using a Kong to lure him into the crate and he likes it but he ends up getting frustrated. It is a medium sized Kong so he has a little trouble getting the treats. I usually help him figure it out. I read on the forums that people use peanut butter to make it more interesting. Does anyone know if peanut butter is ok for an 8 week old pup's tummy? Also, we're afraid of making him fickle to his regular food so we just use his regular kibble for now. Any stories out there on this? Thank you!

Congratulations and welcome to Boxerworld!! You're going love this place. We've tried several different things in our kongs, peanut butter being one of them. However, I'm not sure if it's OK to give a little puppy any.
Good luck on picking a name - sometimes it takes awhile to figure the perfect one that fits.

Hi - glad to hear your here! Can't wait to see pictures of the new baby - he sounds gorgeous. When Fritzi was 8 wks she ate only wet kibble and canned food. I'm not sure about the peanut butter, but I've heard no pigs' ears cause they break up and get caught in the baby's mouth :( All of the names sound great - I'll be anticipating the choice of his name and pictures

We decided he is most definitely a Tucker. This little guy is the sweetest little furbaby I've ever seen. I would love to post some pictures of him here. Anyone have advice on posting in the galleries? It seems I can't post even though I'm logged in.
Oh, thank you all for the advice on treats. I found out that even just a tiny bit of peanut butter on the tip of the Kong can upset a puppy's tummy. Little Tucker had some runny poos for a few times after I gave it to him. Definitely too rich.
Other than that, it has been rather smooth sailing. He sleeps very well in his crate. He even goes in without us coaxing him. It is truly amazing. Although, I have a feeling he is just resting up for some crazy months ahead!! :D
