How about Yoshi which is short for Yoshiah? I found it at the link ssleighter posted for Jewish names.

Yoshi is also a Nintendo game character.

I have a thing for naming my dogs after drinks! It makes me think of a time before I had kids and could go out!

thanks guys, actually I will be getting 2 pups, one is for someone else that I am holding for a short time. so that makes 6 boxers, 1 kitty and one out of her mind owner!

I had brought a picture to my sisters summer camp and she is holding a contest for the kids to pick out a name. I could use all the help. I miss my Jake, I am looking for a strong name like that.
