Boxer Buddy
Today my parents brought over A.J., there 4 month old male lab. Tyson is 14 months and it was the first time they met. After an hour or so of playing, tyson decided to start humping A.J., which he's never done to another dog but did it a couple times to us when he was like 8 months. We trained him not to do that and he hasn't done it since. We'll at first we thought it was just tyson doing the whole dominate thing and pulled him off. Then he went back a few minutes later and started doing it again. Now, not to be vulgar, but when he went back again, his "red rocket" came out. All of it. It was funny but gross. Was he aroused? I"m really not sure what my question is but was wondering if this happened to anybody else. I could see if was a female dog, but is wasn't. Thanks for any advice.

I bet it was a show of dominance, him getting exicited by it was probably just nature working :o.

Dominance...the red rocket just happens sometimes. They were just trying to determine the leader of the "pack". I have been *told* that you should not allow dogs to hump in front of you b/c they are also showing dominance over you...I have no idea if this is true though ;) They can also do this and still keep playing...it's not necessarily a bad thing.
