Hi again!

Yet another question for everybody!! I really appreciate all the help by the way!!

I find Kiera to be extremely nervous when meeting people whether for the first time or not! she kind of crawls with her shoulders hunched towards them she's not aggressive at all... shes still usually doing her wiggle bum thing, but she also pees when they start to pay attention. I've tried to get people to ignore her when they come in for the first few minutes... that doesnt work... I make sure they aren't all excited when they speak to her, but she still pees and cowers!

Also I noticed she is especially nervous when it comes to men! she will even go as far as hiding behind me! Note that she LOVES my boyfriend thats totally her favorite person! haha but when he has some of his guy friends over she gets so scared!! I've tried them giving her treats when they come in, etc. but shes sooo nervous!!

Loud noises also make her freak too!!

We were in puppy classes and she did very well, she gets to visit my parents house and does well there too. I admit we don't have alot of people over very often so I guess I kind of understand... but If I can do anything to help her stop being so timid when we do! She was doing alright when she was younger, but all of a sudden shes afraid of everything!

When we first got her she was also very shy, but I thought we had got her out of her shell pretty good!! but we seem to be back-trackingfrom the progress we had made...

I will also note that getting her out and about to go visiting is a bit difficult right now because its sooo cold atm, so that make this even more difficult! Alberta is a tad bit Cold and Snowy this time of year!! haha :S

I would really appreciate any advice! ... (and yes I'm a total worry wart, and tend to ramble a bit.. just want to get all the details in that I can sorry about that!!)

What she is doing is called submissive urinaton. They will usually grow out of it. In the meantime have your visitors crouch down when greeting her. It won't be so threatening. Definitely don't allow them to lean over her. It also might be a good idea for your visitors to give her a treat when them come and then she will think of visitors as being a good thing. It start with, just have them toss her the treat. It should be something really good and smelly. :)
