My jaw is still hanging open from reading your story. I just don't understand people sometimes....as hard as it will be, don't take the dog until its been ok by the proper authorities. I doubt that the dog will be picked up tonight, by the sounds of it these people don't care about antything but themselves. Good luck and keep us posted! Denise

people are so darn disgusting.

when i visited my mom in ohio her friend has a neighbor that treats her boxer the same way. on a tie up outside starving for attention not to mention food, water and shelter in bad weather and sun. i wanted to steal the dog of course but i knew we would be in a peck of trouble if we did.

hope that the neighbor doesnt come for the dog so animal control can find a foster home for the poor baby. good luck.

i want to cry now. keep us up to date.

Animal Control called me back and said this guy denied having a dog! AC told me to go ahead and take the dog and leave a note on his door telling him where she is. If he has not came for her in a week to call AC back and she would get her into a rescue.
Since AC had already given you the OK before you talked to the daughter, I would go ahead and take the dog and leave a note on the door (um, maybe the back door?) telling the daughter where the dog is and that you took her until they could come get her tonight since she kept getting tangled. That way, if the daughter gets nasty when she comes to your house to pick up her dog, you can call the police and they can step in. Since all of this has been documented (good job!), both you and this poor little boxer can be protected.

As far as introducting on neutral territory, maybe this other neighbor that has been feeding this poor baby will help out and lend a yard for an hour or so?

I would go and get that baby tonight. Leave a note on the door where she is. Sure it is tresspassing, but tresspassing is less offensive than animal neglect. Plus, you already have your statements to AC and the other neighbor to back you up. If the daughter really does come by, then she will know where to look. If the daughter doesn't come by (or doesn't bother coming to your door), then you will have proof that the dog has been abandoned and you can call animal control in the morning. I am sure the poor little baby would rather sleep in your garage then out in the cold.

P.S. I know that historically two females can fight. I however had two females under one roof for several years. Just because they are female doesn't mean they will fight.

Get that poor baby and leave a note. You have the backing of AC already. It is so sickening and breaks my heart how people could mistreat such beautiful creatures.

neighbor is gone.....boxer tied up

Please call animal control, explain what is going on. they may know some boxer ressues in your area. You just can't wait...it's been since friday that she's been like that.

You Go GIRL! I'm glad you told that daughter that is NOT the way a boxer or any dog should be treated. Although it doesn't sound like she has any sense at all and definately doesn't deserve a dog, let alone a baby. She and her daddy sound like dumb a$$e$! Aarrgh! :(

I'd go ahead and take Lexus and leave the note. Sounds like she needs some lovins'

My heart os breaking for this poor little girl. How sad her life is. I wish there was something I could do....I'm glad your trying to help her out. Good Luck and keep us posted.
