On another thread I found this: Polydipsia/Polyuria

Not sure what that is but we've experienced the same with our boxer and we are at our wit's end. We are going back to the vet again this weekend to see if we can find out more.

I was just online searching for Polydipsia/Polyuria and found this link:

Although it might be explaining it in humans, sounds a lot like what is going on...excessive thirst and excessive diluted urine...it gives some causes, maybe mention it to your vet and see what they think? Keep us updated

I found this one possible diagnosis rather strange/funny.

Psychogenic polydipsia (compulsive water drinking)
This behavioral disorder is diagnosed on the basis of water deprivation testing after excluding other causes of polyuria and polydipsia. Most veterinarians perform gradual water deprivation to avoid confusion that can arise from loss of normal kidney concentrating ability that can arise simply as a result of longstanding polyuria (“renal medullary washout”). Treatment includes behavioral modification, gradual water restriction and occasionally drugs to counteract obsessive-compulsive behavior.

It could be just that as he doesn't seem to have any thing else wrong with him. I will keep this thread posted!
