Does anyone know of a rescue in the Washington State area? After taking in a stray female boxer, we found out we just can't keep her. My husband has severe allergies (been in the ER twice in a month) that just aren't responding to meds.

Our girl is a wonderful boxer, so loving and sweet. We're very upset at the thought of giving her up, but we're also very determined to find her a GOOD home where she will get lots of love. We just need a place to start.

Any help will be truly appreciated. Thank you.

Contact Chico Boxer Rescue ... based in Chico, CA, there are volunteers in the Seattle area doing rescue up here. Our Jazz came from Chico and I can personally say these people will do everything to get your girl into the right permanent home. We are grateful that we were so carefully screened as potential adopters, because the match was perfect for us.

Thank you, Jazzyboxer. I emailed Chico Boxer Rescue and will look forward to hearing from them.

The most important thing is for my Nellie to get a good home. It's hell having to think of giving her up, but it does help to know that anyone adopting will be "up to par" and understand boxers.

We had an applicant for our rescue, but we do not do out of stste adoptions, I told them to check out this link so maybe they are potential adopters for your girl!!

I live in Sounth Central Washington State and am anxious to become involved in this boxer rescue program. I would like to find a younger boxer to adopt as well become active in this effort. Please respond with any information you might have available. This is the first time I have every used a forum and feel pretty lost!

I am interested in adoptiong your Boxer if she is housebroken and no longer in a puppy chewing phase. :) I have submitted applications to Chico Boxer Rescue, WA Boxer Rescue, and just about every other Boxer Rescue group in this area. I have a recently acquired Boxer boy (fixed) who would love a companion. Shelly

Thank you all so much for your interest in my Nellie. I did contact Chico Boxer Rescue, and they seem like wonderful people who are willing to help. They do have pre-approved homes in the area, so that's always nice to know.

When my nephew found out we had to give up our Nellie, he went crazy saying he loves our dog and wants to give her the best home. We are so fortunate that he's such a good person and wants our girl.

Again, thank you all for your interest. I truly hope everybody finds the boxer of their dreams - they are the best dogs in the world.
