Boxer Booster
I have been feeding RAW for about two years and decided it was time to look at what we were doing and possibly make some changes. Here are the facts:
My girl is three years old and weighs 52 pounds. We originally started feeding RAW because she has colitis.
I do not feed her any bones. (I really have no desire to and don't want to change that part of her diet.)
She eats turkey, lamb, beef and chicken. I currently feed her several types of raw vegetables, but am considering doing away with the vegetables all together.
She gets a probiotic pill, proenzyme, a calcium supplement and flaxseed oil. (These are all given daily.)
I know I need to supplement calcium in her diet because she does not eat any bones, but I am really not sure how much calcium she should be getting on a daily basis.
I read so many conflicting things on feeding a RAW diet and I just don't know how to balance her calcium/phosporous ratio, which I have learned is very important. (That seems to be one thing that I have consistently read.)
Help!!
