Dreyfuss is Home

Just a note to let everyone know that Dreyfuss is home. We picked him up Friday night. The guy that listed him was not totally honest about his condition. He has testicular cancer. He is blind in his left eye and has partial loss in his right. He has arthritis in his hips and his hearing isn't the best. He also has Cardiomyopathy. Dreyfuss went to the vet today and got UTD on his shots and started on HW preventative. He also got some meds for the arthritis. He is going to see a specialist about his heart. I am not the least bit sorry that I have him. He is a blessing to our family and will get allt he love and support he needs.

Victoria, You are absolutly awesome. You are a God Send to Dreyfuss. I hope he adapts quickly to his new, VERY loving home. If I could adopt every senior dog (not just boxers) in rescue I would. For some reason they pull at my heart strings the most.

Victoria, How are things going with Dreyfus?

I don't know where to start. Almost 3 weeks ago, Dreyfuss was rushed to the after hours clinic. He was diagnosed as being in the advanced stages of heart failure. Due to an irresponsible person, Dreyfuss never got the treatment he needed. I came home to get a couple of things, and before I got back, he went to the rainbow bridge. It is still hard for me to talk about it. I miss him. He was the sweetest old man. We were looking over our options, and before we could decide anything, Dreyfuss made the decision for us. We are heartbroken over this. :(

Oh no Victoria. I am so sorry. I know he stole your heart from day one. You probably gave him more love in the short period of time he was with your family than he had in a long time. A blessing for him, heartbreaking for you. I am at a loss for words except to tell you how sorry I am.

I am sorry that there was an irresponsible person out there who wanted to dump their problems on to someone else:rolleyes: I hope you contact them and give them an ear full.
