need help finding neurologist in GA

My vet has refferd me to a neurologist to take my puppy to, thier consultation fee is $100. So I wanna know, is this what it cost just to have a neurologist look at your dog? Can anybody recommend a neurologist that I can go to?

What's wrong with your pup?

Since a neurologist is a specialist, it would not surprise me that his/her fee is $100 for an exam. Have you contacted the vet school in Athens (UGA)? If the neurologist isn't located there, you may find one there, but he/she might be equally as expensive, unfortunately.

Hey girl... You might want to call Auburn University... They work on animals also... My mom takes her horses up there all the way from Waycross Ga... I would look into the university... They saved my mom's horse...

Thanks for the response I will look into those places. As far as my puppy the vet is concerned because he is unbalanced when he walks. Sometimes his hind legs would just fall to the side. So the vet thinks he could have some neurological problems.
