my first thought and still my strongest intuition is something paranormal. being a paramedic i've seen all types of seizures, in humans of course, but i would imagine no matter who or what is seizing the physical effects on the body would be similar. it doesn't sound like a seizure to me. maybe schizophrenia or another psycho social dysfunction. when you say she doesn't want to leave your side and she freaks out by going to the other end of a room from you to retreive a toy(something that should be distracting her from anything other than grabbing that toy), that sounds like a conscience realization of either vulnerability or an unknown source of fear that comes over her.

She may be seeing things that you cannot... We had a Lhasa that would go nuts chasing wht we called her "invisible bugs", she obviously was seeing something that we couldn't. The only way I can describe it was you know how you see something out of the corner of your eye & then turn your head really quick- well she would then "chase" it... I have no idea what it was, but it happened off & on for all of her 14 years she was alive. Good luck, keep us posted.

Scary...

We lived in a haunted house. Do I sound nuts saying that? Both dogs refused to go downstairs (split level. ground floor in front. Back was split, downstairs to den/laundry room, upstairs to bedrooms). That wasnt good because their food was down in the laundry room.

Later found out the previous owner commited suicide in the laundry room.

Harley also had a spot on the stairs that he refused to leave alone. Sniffing, licking... could have been anything, but he acted like he wanted something underneath the stairs.

I believe I beleive!!!!!!!! My friend has a lab and I keep telling her her house is haunted. Jordan (her lab) will bark and bark at this one corner. When we try to go up to it, she about attacks us. Like she is keeping us safe. She does not want us NEAR that corner. Her house is very old, and in an older part of town, so I think she has ghosts! She does too. It is that one corner, and the closet upstairs. (actually the closte it on top of that corner...hmmmm)

This might seem really stupid, but is it possible there may be a squirrel, bat, or coon in your attic? This time of year, it's easy for animals to get stuck in the house.

Did you ever find out anything more? We are having some weird seizure type issues with out baby Eva right now. I am just curious as to what is going on with your baby Coco??

Thank you,
worried parents

Drake acts very strange and similar to what you were posting, when Thunderstorms or a change in barometric pressure is happening. We can't sense it, but he is super sensative to it. I actually had a trainer who tuned me into this.:)

hallucinations and seizures

When Tucker had his first seizure he at first started barking at the tv, then looked up at the ceiling and cowered like something was after him. It clearly seemed like he was hallucinating (or he was seeing ghosts). He later jumped off the bed, backed into a corner, didn't recognize me, then ran into the wall. He quickly fell to the ground and started really seizing. Hopefully , your dog doesn't have seizures, although they are treatable with medicine or holistic herbs (from what I hear).

Good luck. deanna
