can anyone tell me what the disadvantages are to feeding eukanuba puppy? I have an 8 week old girl and want the best for her, and it seems others have a negativity about eukanuba. Can someone tell me why? I don't understand all the big name mumbo jumbo in the list of ingredients. HELP

I definately don't know as much about dog food as others but...

a) You do not need to feed a puppy puppy food. Adult food will be fine. Puppy food could actually cause growth problems.

b) Eukanuba uses more fillers in their food than quality kibbles.

If you do a search for quality kibbles you will find several discusions about better food for your dog and exactly why those foods are better.

In the simplest possible terms, what's wrong with Eukanuba is that it is made up of undigestible grains like corn and wheat, which commonly cause digestion and allergy problems (dogs, incidentally, are not designed to eat grains. Herbivores are) and meat by-products (= unusable things like chicken heads or offal that's such low quality it is impossible to use elsewhere).
