Boxer Insane
A lump appeared literally over night on Nessa’s face (on the side of her nose on the wrinkles) about 2 weeks ago. It was about the size of a pea; I decided to just keep an eye on it to see if it would go away on its own. But 2 weeks later no improvement, so we went to the vet yesterday. They were not able to take an aspirate because the top got knocked off the lump the other day when she was scratching her face so to be safe she is having it removed today to be sent out for a biopsy. Because of its location its going to be hard to cut out much tissue around it for clean margins so today we are being conservative and just taking out the lump and depending on the biopsy results she may or may not have to go back and have the margins around it removed.
And while she is under she is also having a cracked tooth removed, I don’t know how or when she cracked it but I noticed it last week, it doesn’t hurt her but looks painful to me so its best to take it out now while she is under instead of waiting till it gets infected or painful.
It broke my heart to leave her this morning at the vet, she is very nervous and shy in strange situations, she was shaking like a leaf and just pleading with her big brown eyes for me not to leave her – I did actually cry a bit when I got out to my car. I know its silly she will be home tonight but her sad terrified face just killed me.
