well monday evening 11/08/04 i am taking sinbad back to the vet for another heart ultrasound. he has been on antibotics for 3 months.back in aug he just fell over i rushed him to the vet they ran some tests heard a heart murmur did a heart ultrasound found his heart walls were thicker than what they should be. they said it was a bacterial infection or hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. please send my baby good vibes for him to be all better .....thanks bunches.....dora

Positive vibes are coming your way from here. Where are you taking Sinbad for the ultrasound? If he should be diagnosed with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, it is treatable with meds. My cat Lewis was in congestive heart failure when diagnosed at Purdue with an enlarged heart. The walls of the lower left ventricle were very rigid and blood was not being pumped efficiently. Lewis was presribed Vasotec for the heart and Lasix to remove the fluids on the heart and lungs. He was 10 years when diagnosed and lived to be over 16 years.

Hope all goes well for Sinbad on Monday and you get good news.

holden's mom i am in indianapolis too. my vet i take him to is in avon, above and beyond.they have 3 vets but only 1 does the ultrasounds.i have been taking my pets there for years.they have been very good with all of them.i am very comfortable with whatever diagnosis they give me.your story gives me hope because i cannot even begin to think about losing sinbad it would kill me.i lost a boxer baby in june and could not go through that again especially so soon. dora

There are so many things they can do today with medicine, to help pets live a better, longer life.
