Completely Boxer Crazy
I switched my girls to Solid Gold a long time ago, but, when I did it, I think I was a little extreme because I took like three weeks to slowly change them over completely. I have not had any problems and they are both thriving!

Thank you all...then I won't worry about getting any of his old food.....did any of your dogs not like the food.....my boxer is picky....before when I was mixing with Chicken Soup he would gobble the Solid Gold up.....now that it is 100% Solid Gold, he won't hardly eat.....he's on the WolfKing.....anymore advice??:)

in addition to the solid gold mmillennina dry kibble i feed apollo, i supplement it with their seameal powder. he loves it and forms a bit of a gravy in his food. he completely licks it up clean.

Burton,

I wouldn't suggest the Wolf King Solid Gold because it's for large breeds and boxers are a medium breed dog. I use the Solid Gold Hund-N-Flocken, which is the lamb and rice, my boxers somewhat had the same problem with switching over it took a few days for there stool to be completely firm. They both love the Hund-N-Flocken. I'm not saying start to switch him again, but like I said boxers are a medium breed. So you might want to consider it once his stool firms up and if it doesn't then you can try switching to the Hund-N-Flocken and see if that changes anything. Hope it all works out for you.

Thank you White Boxer.....I originally put Burton on WolfKing b/c he had bad shedding problems and it appeared he had a food allergy to the CostCo brand Lamb and Rice.....then it appeared he might be having the same problem with the Chicken Soup (some shedding)- since both are made by Diamond I thought it would be best to go to a different reputable maker of food.....the solid gold people suggested the Wolfking b/c of the possible food allergies.....but, I believe I will take you advice....do you use the Sealmeal supplement also?

solid gold also has the holiztique blendz formula which is supposedly very good for allergies. the hund-n-flock is also very reputable for working well with dogs with allergies.

Thank you both very much.....I noticed his stool was getting firmer, so I went out today and got the Hund-n-Flocken....I also looked on the whole dog journal list and Hund-n-Flocken was there and so was Millinimum, but WolfKing was not mentioned.....my boy loves the Hund-n-Flocken....he actually went to the pantry when I opened it and began tapping at the bag....thanks a bunch...I'll keep you posted how this switch goes....I will follow advice and make it very slow....I'll try to take a month....:)Burton thanks you.
