hi i need a vet in chandler, arizona that is open on sundays. one of my babies is sick but i can't afford to take him to the "hospital" it costs almost $100.00 just to walk in the door.last night he had bad diarhia, and vomit all over the place.it started out as almost whole vomit then there were about 10 other piles up it looked like mucus or snot,it was really thick.anyway i came home for lunch and Fozzie seemed to be ok.he was playing with our other baby running, jumping, eating and drinking water, but at about 6 or 7 p.m. he seemed to be weak again just laid down to sleep.i think he is cold too so i covered him up.i dont know what he got into, but like every Boxer mother or father i am very worried. any advice??

How old is your Dog? If he is a young puppy you need to take him to the vet. If he is an adult you could probably wait until tomorrow. I would take his temperature to see if he has a fever.

You could try some Kaopectate and see if they helps.

Look in the Yellow Pages on line to see if you can find a vet in your area. Some will actually list their hours so it will save you some phone calls. Good Luck.

Fozzie is 2.something is weird though i got up this morning to let the babies out and it is like he is fine again, he is eating drinking, and playing hard like he does all the time.yesterday it seemed like when the sun went down he was really weak,he's abotu 65-70 pounds but i had to cover him in a blanket it was about 60 degrees out he usually doesnt have a problem in that kind of weather.i guess i'll have to see what happens tonight if it happens again i will take him to the vet first thing tomarrow.OH what would i use to take his temp.,and what is a dog's normal temp.? i think it is around 100-101 degrees but i'm not sure.

A dog's temperature would be considered high if it was over 101.2F. You would use an ordinary rectal thermometer. It's a good idea to take Fozzie's temperature when he is feeling fine so that you know what his normal temperture is.

It sounds like Fozzie has recovered. Hopefully he will be fine. Boxers tend to throw up white to yellow bile when they are hungry. Do you feed him twice a day?
