Neck size.....

I know every boxer is different in size but lil Tyson is growing out of collars soooo quick!!! I know the collar I want to get him when he is full size but don't want to spend the money on one he is just going to outgrow so we have been buying cheaper ones until then. He is about to outgrow his 3rd collar now and his neck is around 13 1/2" Here are the collar sizes for the one I want: Medium 14-20"/ Large 18-28" He could fit the medium now but i'm not sure if his neck will get bigger than 20" so I would like to know the size of your full grown, or pretty much full grown boxer neck. Tyson is going to be on the larger size I have a feeling. He is 4 months old and 32lbs so far and his dad was around 90lbs.

You can't necessarily base your pups size on the parents. My girl's parents were both well over 80lbs and we thought for sure she would outgrow our boy. She at a year and a half, hasn't passed 45lbs yet. Anyways, our male, I think he's pretty average size, around 70lbs, where's a 20" spike leather collar with 2 holes still left to go before he outgrows it. I think 28" seems like it would be way too big for any boxer.

Well I can't say for sure how big your baby's neck will be, but for comparison, Punchie is 2 years old, weighs 58.5 lbs., and her neck is 16 inches. I think the last collar I bought her was an 18" adjustable collar.

Both of my dogs wear medium collars. Brody weighs 70 lb and Layla weighs 60 lbs. I think the medium would be the best one to buy.

Rocky is two years old, 72+ pounds and wears a 22" studded leather collar on the next to the last hole. He had a 20" he was wearing before Christmas but it got a little snug so I got the larger one. I would say it could go either way. With the large, you can always trim it down but the medium isn't going to stretch. I agree a 28" necked boxer would be huge but 20" to 22" or maybe a bit larger can't be too uncommon...

Both of mine are in the 20'' range. I got them what I thought would be their last collars for a while. You know the nice rolled leather collars?? Well we got those christmas and now we are on the last notch. They are large from the pet store. Unfortunately I cannot find any bigger here. Clay got ahold of his the other day and chewed it pretty good. So it looks like Im on the hunt again....Granted mine are just now over 1yr. I keep thinking theyll continue to bulk up.
