NAUSEATED BOXER ... Can you help us?

Have you considered that it might be an environmental allergy? Marlee used to do that because something was getting in her throat and itching and then she would gag. Made her want water, too. As soon as the seasons changed she was absolutely fine. Now she gets Benadryl in the winter and she doesn't do it at all.

I'm not saying that's what it is, just something to consider.

Still Sick...My Poor Baby :(

Titan finished his Sucralfate yesterday and has been sick since yesterday afternoon.

Does anyone think this is anxiety related? We went to a boxer meet & greet this weekend and he was SO excited to see other dogs (typical for him). Before we rescued him he was always with another dog; now he's an "only."

The "environmental allergy" could be something. We haven't seen any bumps or anything on his skin like we've read about, but that he's only nauseated when he's at OUR home is starting to make us suspicious.

We've been in contact with the vet (she's not yet aware that he's sick again) and she'd like to continue to Sucralfate for another two weeks. We are supposed to pick up the refill today. We'll talk to her and see what she says.

Justice has been on Sucralfate for 7 months now and her vomitting episodes are less often and WAY less severe since starting it. I too think that her vomitting is due to stress or being overly tired. For example, she vomits the day after thunder storms, the day after christmas which was complete choas because she went with us everywhere, days after she goes to the vet, days after she takes very few naps, etc. She did not vomit once in October but she did 3 days in November and 6 days in Dec. I track them on a calendar and that is the only thing I can think of. Especially because we are ran several tests on her and have ruled out several things. Again...good luck, I hope you get some answers

Bile Acid Test

Our vet did a bile acid test on Titan today; we should find out the results next week. She did not renew his prescription for Sucralfate, as she didn't feel it was helping cut down on the episodes.

He was sick yesterday AND is sick again tonight (as usual, not throwing up but gagging up lots of water and dry heaving).

We just fed him and his stomach seems to have settled down a little.

Will let you know what the vet says. We WILL get to the bottom of this!

I just wanted to tell you our dog had been having these symptoms for several months now. A raw diet seemed to help for a few months but then he started getting sick again. We are looking into getting an endoscopy and biopsy at this point because we cannot figure out what it is. Bloodwork was normal but he has lost weight because we have to skip so many meals because of the vomiting and when we do fed him we are afraid to give him large meals.
