nature's variety prairie

i started my one year old male on nature's variety prairie chicken and rice kibble.... this is probably our last kibble before we try raw (bad tummy problems)... has anyoen had any success with this food? i couldn't find much on the site about it. thanks!

I've had great success with this kibble.I've been feeding it over a year now.I switch flavors about every 6 months...from Chicken to Lamb to Beef.Now they have Venison.
I am very happy with this kibble.. Their coats are soft,shiny. The vet even asked me what I was feeding them ! He said their coats look great !

So..so far so good

Can you give us an update on how the new food is working? I've been reading your previous posts with interest as our 16 month old has similar problems, although not quite as severe. We'd switched to Hund-n-Flocken last fall and saw enough improvement that we're still on it. I've been watching the board for what people switched to from HnF, and your previous post sounds promising.

we just got back from the vet's office... turns out that dagney has ring worms!! they didn't pick it up on the last stool sample... we are so relieved to know that we weren't crazy and that soemthing was really wrong with poor dagney... he is now down to 55 pounds and i hope that once this is treated, he will be back to his old self...

as for the nature's variety, even with his ringworm, it has worked the best for him so far, so we're stciking with it...

You mean round worms, I think...? Ringworm is a fungus not a parasite.

Thanks for the update. I'd hoped to hear that switching to that food was the miracle cure! LOL. For your sake I'm glad to hear that there's an actual problem and that a vet admitted they'd missed something. Good luck!
