Is this an ok dog food for a puppy? We just got Duke, and the breeder had him on Iams. I want to get him on a good dog food, but I do live in a very small town in Montana, and its not easy finding all the dog foods you all listed. But the feed store has the Prairie Brand so just wondering if this is ok for a pup or should I try to find something else.

It's a great food. It's actually one of the food's listed on the WDJ. We use to have Lily on it but unfortuantely, she had some type of reaction to it (we're guessing since it happened right after we converted her over to it) and got really sick. We know many people that use that food and it comes highly recommended.

Yes, Prairie is pretty good The only one that isn't really suitable for a puppy is the Prairie Raw Instinct - it is too high in protein for a growing puppy, so shouldn't be fed until about 18 months of age. But all other Prairie formulas should be just fine

Thanks so much for the replies. I was afraid I was going to have to drive 90miles to the nearest town to find a good dog food, but I guess not now. Thanks again....
