I use a dremel. It's great. The one I have is real quite. I hold him on my lap and my mom helps. I've only done it once, but he didn't seem to mind it at all, unless his nail got hot. So, we blew on his nail as we did it and it worked fine. They are only about $40.
(Now if I could just get him to let me clean his eyes in the morning...)

I have tried

Everything and resorted to taking him to the vets. I would have to hog tie Tomi and I swear he frothed at the mouth like he was dying. It would take 3 people to help me hold him down. It was suuuuch a nightmare. He loved getting baths, but hated nail clipping, even if I was careful. The vet told me it is because their feet are tickelish. He said imagine when you get a pedicure. Don't your feet tickle? Anyhow, I hope my next boxer isn't as bad as Tomi was..it was seriously suck a task.
