mysterious coughing...

Within the last two weeks, my little Courage (1-1/2) has developed this phantom cough. She'll suddenly hack a few times and then completely stop. She does this maybe 1-2 times a day, but at very random times. The first few times I soothed her throat area in case something was stuck in her esphongas... but it didn't seem to be the case...

I would take her to the vet, but I know it's a waste of time right now because I couldn't have her do it at the vet's office...

Anyone have any experience with this?

Has she had the kennel cough vaccine?? Has she been around some other dogs recently or at a kennel??

I thought of Kennel Cough too... we've never had to put our two in a kennel, so no she hasn't had the shot and I won't be giving it to her unless we really need to. She's only been at the dog park recently, no extensive visits with other dogs. And my BooBoo has no problems, just her...

Well, there is our neighbor's young puppy that she socializes with through the cracks of the fence during the day time when we're at work...

FYI kennel cough vaccination, they put it in their nose and she may have gotten it from someone else's dog at the dog park. Good Luck and I hope she's well soon..

Thanks, I guess I'll go get some liquid vitimin C and help her get over it more quickly...

Baxter had gotten kennel cough at a dog park (drinking from the community watering bowl) That's the last time he drinks out of there. He has had it over a month along w/his kennel cough shot. After x-rays showed his esophagus was irritated, he was back on stronger medicine along w/a cough suppressant. Get it checked out quickly.
