My two puppies weigh in...

Hubby weighed the kids last night and the results were:

Sammy 12 weeks - 25 pounds

Deli 15 weeks - 25 pounds

Deli is a much more petite puppy than Sammy is. Sammy's paws are ENORMOUS (about 3/4 the size of my palm) and he looks very stout whereas Deli is just very delicate in appearance and carriage. Neither of them look thin but have beautiful builds and great metabolisms.

Am I being naive though? Might there be reason for concern with Delilah being 3 weeks older but at the same weight as Samson?

i don't think you really have anything to worry about..if both are looking health and eating well then there probably is just a difference in their builds, in my opinion 25lbs at 12 weeks and 15 weeks are okay sizes.
Tucker weighed 10 lbs at 9 weeks and now at a year weighs 70lbs, while Titus is 9 weeks and already weighs 16.5. I am glad to hear that your boy is 25lbs at 12 weeks...makes me see that there are others out there that are gonna be BIG!

Thanks for the reply. That's kinda how I felt but I wanted to check and see if I was being naive.

Yep, Sammy is going to be a BIG boy. He's such a cutie though. Even though he's growing quickly he hasn't lost his baby face and wrinkly forehead. You can tell though by the photos of him that he's going to have a HUGE head with those wide set eyes. Of course that means that I won't be breeding them but that was not my reason for getting them anyway. :)

There are pictures uploaded into her gallery and they are so cute too. Love the matching blue and red collars.
Boy, Makes me want to get Harley a baby brother or sister right now :p .

P.S. They both look like they are at a healthy weight

My Ruby is only 25lbs at 15 1/2 weeks. I got her at 8 weeks and was told by the breeder that she was the runt of the litter. Your puppy is just like mine. Rubys feet are big, like yours pups, which is an indication that the body will eventually grow into those feet. No worries:)
