Boxer Pal
Ok, so Sydney is 2 years old, up until the last six months she stayed in her kennel when there was no one at home. We moved back in August to house with a doggie door. So we decided to start letting Sydney stay out since she would be able to let herself out and be able to play in the backyard.
The first about 2 and 1/2 months went great, she didn't chew anything, she didn't destroy anything, etc. (Except she kept letting the cat out so she could play with her) In the past couple of weeks we have come home to Sydney taking our shoes outside and chewing them and yesterday she brought a newspaper outside and ripped it to shreds. She has never shown this behavior before, it was like a light switch.
We tried putting the shoes under the bed so she couldn't get to them, well we under estimated her intelligence, because she just army crawled under the bed and got them anyway. Once we removed shoes completely is when she moved onto the newspaper and cat toys!
We are not sure what to do because she has never shown this behavior before and she started out so well. Any suggestions for deterring this behavior? We were thinking about getting her another boxer friend that way she has company, but we are not sure if that is a good idea or not? Thanks for any help you can give me!

. I will let you know how the window and the bench works out! I am sure she will enjoy it either way.
