Do you not fill the hole?Do you cover it back up?

I do cover it with soil, it works just the same but stops the area from smelling

Do you not fill the hole? you just leave it put poop in it, and then what? i kinda want to fill the hole's back up, cus they are into my tree's roots.

I always fill the hole in first, then place the poop on top, and then stir the poop and dirt together lightly, so the poop is some what covered. I use the rake that came with my pooper scooper. You want them to smell it, so covering it completely won't work.
