My poor Theo

I just caught this thread. I am glad Theo is doing well. I lost my girl two months ago today to sudden death due to Boxer Cardiomyopathy. Luckily for me, she only had one synoptic episode before the one that took her. I can't imagine going through what you went through with him continually passing out, I would have completely lost my mind.

I am glad you decided not to exercise restrict. I used to tell Snubby that I wanted her to die happy and if that meant doing burns around the yard, so be it.

Sounds like Theo has an awesome family with his best interest at heart and that is super for him! Hope Theo continues to be well and happy!

Up date of "my poor Theo"

Theo hasnt been collasping that often. He had his first episode in a few months the other day. He has also been vomiting his food whole several hours after eating. We have been soaking it and he is on several medications, so it getting better but we did some blood work and his kidneys are starting to fail most likely from his cardiomyopathy. The values are not horrible yet but they were fine back in march. he is also anemic so he is loosing blood somewhere. Friday we will find out if the anemia is regenrative or not so we need all the positive vibes we can get. I am not ready to loose him he is so young. He has been spunky on and off latley, its nice to see that side, i wish he was always like that.

I absolutely hate that you and Theo have been going through this situation. I am the type of person that I wish that I could take your pain(Theo's too) away so that you and Theo could have the most and best time together. It saddens me that he's been through this and that you have too. I am sending all of my positive energy to you and hoping that all goes well for you two. Poor Theo. I just caught this thread, and am so sorry to hear you are having to go through this. Please know we are hoping for Theo to pull through. Punchie sends lots of wiggles and kisses to you and Theo.

I am really sorry that Theo and your family have been going through such difficult times. Theo sounds like a very brave and strong little man, his body and heart have been through alot and he is doing better than I ever would. So I took a little more blood from Theo today and ran a CBC, his pcv went from 31(mild anemia) to 24 in 6 days. The dr looked at another slide and it is nonregenrative and the looks like a problem with his bonemarrow. He said he is going to go done hill fast. I brought him home and going to start him a some steroids to make him more comfortable, but unfortunatly with the way he is going I will probally have to put him to sleep next week or the week after. He is still in good spirits, eating and having spouts of playing and running. When that stops I will no it is time. Thank you everybody for your support.
