My niece is coming to visit! I just saw my sister last year for the first time in 10 years ( I was put in a foster home in CA), and she lives in Washington State. She came down for her High School reunion last year and stayed with my husband and I. She totally got on my nerves the whole time but I cried when she left (go figure). Anyway she is bringing my niece down an Aug 1st-5th and they are staying with us. I am really excited to see my niece....we are going to spoil her to death. Especially since my sisters husband I such an abusive jerk (she is trying to leave....we will see). We are taking her to Knotts Berry Farm, Disneyland, and Sea World! Yes we are going to be totally broke after that.....but it will be worth it.
Anyother special things that any of you can think of to do with her would be great! Since hubby and I dont have kids its hard for us to know.

Oh my niece is 6.

How much fun. We just had my cousin here this past weekend with her little one (we call her my niece). I was there when she was born but I haven't seen her since she was 14 months old, and she'll be 4 in 2 weeks!!

It was so great having her here for the weekend. Much too short but lots of fun. We took them to Universal Studios and she LOVED it. Her favorite part was seeing the Spiderman Rocks show. Plus we ran into Spiderman on the street and she got to hug him and give him a kiss lovicon. After that she kept saying "Spiderman's my boyfriend".

Donna~ how cute that she said he was her boy friend:p
I bet she just loved it! Where are they from?

My sister told me to beware that Kyla is talking baby talk....I told my husband that and he was like duhhhh she probably is lacking attention! And he is so right my sister told me she has a hard time showing her affection ( I guess this is from our childhood...I don't think so though because I'm very affectionate) I told her how bad that was and she is seeing someone trying to get help. I just cant wait to show Kyla lots of lovin :lovicon:

Jason is 6 but well he's a boy so it might be different. I think Legoland is cool for them, the aquarium is also cool, Jason also went to the discovery zone and loved that, there's soak city which is right next to knotts I believe, We're taking Jason to this place called adventure city in Anaheim. We've never been there I'll let you know after Saturday how it is. There's the Santa Ana Zoo and the San Diego Zoo these are all places Jason is into. It might be different for a girl. In either case if you decide to go to any of these places or even the ones you mentioned I have the entertainment book that has coupons with discounts I'd be more than happy to send you some. Let me know. i hope you have tons of fun with your neice. I love to spoil mine when she's here also. She's 2 years old. I can't wait to read all about her. I know she's going to love you guys so much you are so good with Jason and he's not even related to you. Have fun and let us know how it goes.:)

I thought of another place around here that Jason really likes Boomers. He and I went the other day and had a blast just the 2 of us.

There's also wild rivers.

I sent you an email of all the coupons in case you're interested believe me it gets very expensive.;)

We like Boomers and Jason loves it. You and Jason should definitely do the little water ride they have there it is so much fun. You just go around squirting people and of course you get squirted too. Whe I went with Jason I was the only adult with a whole bunch of kids and they all attacked me. When i got out I was drenched. It was a blast. We also played miniature golf and they have kiddie as well as adult cars to ride on a track. They even have a wall to climb.
I have a coupon for Knotts if you're interested it's 25% off the regular price. I have nothing for Disneyland, Seaworld or Boomers but I do have 2 free tickets to Magic Mountain that we're not going to use that your sister and her friend can have. Email me and let me know. I can mail them or you can pick them up.

We have some friends who have a little girl who will be 4 in February. She is not potty trained and still talks baby talk, she doesn't even hold your hand she puts her arm up so you can grab the arm (like her mom does). She will occasionally say something you can understand but not very often. Her mom is a stay at home mom but she doesn't interact with Ashley at all she just puts her in front of the TV. They even keep her blocked into the living room so that mom doesn't have to go chasing after her or even really keep an eye on her. Plus dad comes home from work and goes straight to the computer, she's lucky if he spends 10 minutes with her.

On the other end of the spectrum is my niece who is almost 4 and has been potty trained since she was 1 1/2 and speaks clear as a bell even on the phone.

Anyway we had the 2 girls together at my house along with another girl who will be 4 in October (she also speaks well and is potty trained). Everyone who was there kept asking me "what's wrong with the little girl in the red shirt? Is she retarded?" I couldn't get upset at them for asking though because there is such a HUGE gap between Ashley and these 2 little girls who are only a few months older than her.

Give Kyla lots of love and spoil her rotten evilicon after all she is going home with your sister ;). Sounds like you guys have a ton of fun planned. I'm sure she will love it, and it will be a trip to remember for her.

LOL I can just see them all attacking you now!

I just go a coupon from my work today for Knott's...its 22.00 per person 12.95 for kids....I think its usually 40:00 per ticket. I think our coupon would be better than the 25% if I calculated that right ;)

If you guys are not going to use the Magic Mountain tickets that would be really cool! We could pick them up no problem!

BTW* My mom had the letter you sent me! It was mixed up with her mail like I thought smashicon smashicon smashicon
