my new puppy - what do you think she is mixed with?

Hi, all. I just got Cody. Can you see her pics in my gallery?

She is about 10 weeks old, 19 lbs, very mellow and sweet. We got her from a rescue where they told me her mom was a Boxer but, they're not sure about the dad.

I'm not very good at the standards. What are the things about her that are or aren't Boxer? For example, she doesn't have an underbite. And, she has typical boxer short fur but has a sprinking of longer black hairs that give her that shading you can see in her pics. Does she seem to have smaller less rounded eye sockets, too? I don't really care from a conformation standpoint cuz I think she's the most beautiful puppy but, I'm curious if anyone sees anything in her that might give a clue as to her dad?! From all I'm reading here, I'm very happy she has so much Boxer in her cuz she'll inherit the nice personality and temperament. Wonder what she'll get from her dad?

I am no expert...but she looks just like my friends pit/boxer mix...especially the tail..and there girl is the biggest suck you have ever seen and deffinatly has the boxer personality.....and her paws look huge !!!

No matter what she is.....she is just beautiful....and do not let anyone tell you any different !!!

The very dark mask reminds me of a mastiff, but I really don't know! What I do know is that she's adorable!

Can't really tell w/out feeling the coat texture, but it almost looks like GSD could be in the mix. I'm certainly no expert - but Cody's a beautiful girl so that's all that counts!!!

That's what I was going to guess, too... Especially since she looks like such a big girl! I originally thought my baby might be mixed with a mastiff but she is small........ So we decided that we think our girl's part beagle.

She is beautiful no matter what she is!

I agree, she is definitely beautiful! I would say Mastiff, too, that wide snout and coloring down her back and tail looks just like my friend's Mastiff. She looks like she will be a big girl!

K8IE: My girl is a boxer/rottie mix - they look similar (even though mine is still a baby). Her tail is cut but her fur is black and tan mix with a white patch on her chest and white paws. Another possibility?

I saw a GSD/Boxer mix once, and that was my first thought when I saw Cody's pictures. That could explain the longer dark hairs.

Just to toss another suggestion in...

The mask and tail could also suggest a Rhodesian Ridgeback, IMHO...
