My wife said to let you know that milk works pretty good with ink stains. There is also a product called Goop..its a handcleaner for mechanics and that works real good, but it has to be the goop brand...let us know how it goes...

Hairspray will remove ball-point ink. And just think, not a strand of your carpet will be out of place!

I'm also a HUGE fan of Oxyclean. I've gotten out very old coffee and chocolate stains, and it actually seems to get rid of the odor of pet urine.

I wonder if the ink has a special flavor, because my lab Quincy used to chomp pens every chance he got . . .

OxyClean, OxyClean. I knocked over a whole gallon of bright blue paint on my sons carpet and OxyClean was the only thing that got it out!

Boy, reading this thread and adding my experiences to it... boxer owners should really be given alist of all the necessary cleaners boxers should have

That very thing happened to me the other day - I came home to find that one of the dogs had gotten ball point ink all over are the carpets in our rental. I immediately knew who the culprit was - Thumper had a blue butt, paws, and tongue. I've been using CVS carpet cleaner to clean stubborn stains for years, and it worked like a charm. Of course Thumper was another matter ~ Cathy

Well, great except the pink dog and carpet! :eek:
My 1 1/2 yr old skin son drew all over my loveseat and my coffe table that has a leather top with a blue sharpie marker a few weeks ago! My sister, who works at a preschool, just happened to call right after it happened and I was having a nervous breakdown! She told me to use toothpase and rub in small circles. IT WORKED!!! Hubby was home soon and he took the couch cushins and tried it on them. It all came off.

Try rubbing alcohol! It removes permanent marker

Alcohol works better than hairspray, and cheaper too! I had to get black marker out of pink carpet and the hairspray took forever on one spot.
