My husband is addicted

I need help my husband is addicted to boxers. I love to look at boxers so I am always surfing the web looking at shelters. Well I tell my husband there is such a pretty boy at the local shelter he just needs to gain some weight. Well off he goes looking @ him and just all around drooling over this boxer. Well He contacts some friends of him that have been looking for a boxer. Well they have a cat so they think a puppy would be better for them. So what does my husband tell me this morning. Dont be suprised if I come home with another boxer. I"m like WHAT!!!! Dont get me wrong I love our boxer but we already have three! And my husband is like its not like we are going to keep him. Where just saving him till we can find him the right home. He is currently @ a kill shelter. I'm like we are not a rescue group!

Lol looks like you are now!!!! I have a zoo at home - only one boxer but loads of other pets.... I have had to ban my BF from going into petshops or buying the classifeds coz he'll come home with more!!!!

He even brough home a crow once that was injured - it lived in our garden and he called it Russell! Oh and I have had see birds in my bath tub and mice brough in in hats... you name it we've had it... so be thankfull he's only bringing home boxer babies! Lol

Kristie,

Contact your local boxer rescue, and get your husband involved with them. That way he gets the "boxer" thing out without too much strain on you. Perhaps that would alleviate the sudden "I gotta do something" habit.

I can't blame your husband I would go to I am addicted too, luckily my husband keeps me from bringing to many home we are lucky though boxers in shelters are not that common where we live or else watch out!!! I do go on petfinder alot just to make sure!!!

You sound like my BF talking about me! He was totally supportive of getting my 3rd rescue, but did give me the heart to heart about not being able to save them all.
