seems my dogs are getting Christmas a bit early this yr. At my work we were raffling things to fundraise for the local commmunity house (food bank/community support house) Anyway, one of the things we were raffling was a doggy gift basket that was donated tous by the CCRT (Canadian Chihuahua Rescue and Transport). Well a lady that volunteers here won it and brought it home to her dog. Her dog is very elderly though and wouldnt play with anything that was in it (all kinds of goodies...frisbee, tug ropes,squeakies, balls..treats chewy things etc.) so she brought it back today and left it here for me to have. Its great though because when i was typing out the list of everything that was in it so prospective ticket buyer would know what they were getting..it was about 150-200$ worth of goodies!Such a nice lady she is, she gave me the cone her dog had from surgery to use on my GSD after her spay so I wouldnt have to spend the money on buying one. So when i go home, my doggies are getting some new toys. But i think ill save some of the things and stuff their stockings even more! Now they both have a frisbee and wont fight over one .
Funny story about the frisbee i brought hhome the other day. I have 2 jobs- one at a community centre (where i got the goodies from) and the other job I work at a retail store thats like Walmart---the Canadian version of walmart (zelers). Anyway the IAMS sample guy was in and he had frisbees and cat food bowls to giv eout..but he wouldnt give me one.. soemthing about me being an employee of the store. Anyway i was grumbling about it when i went back to my cash so one of the other cashiers wiated for the guy to walk up the aisle somewhere to find people to talk to about IAMS...and she ran and stole me a frisbee. So on my break i smuggled it upstairs. and it was worth it because they lve it .
Anyway enough of my rambling i guess Ill go back towork now,,,,yeah right. The joys of working a desk job.
