Went to the vet and the vet gave me some powder to sprinkle on his food but it does not seem to be working. He only does it when he's alone.

What should I do?

Anyone else's boxer do this?

Yes lots of peoples furbabies on here do this - You are not alone.

Going on the link in the above thread, it just shows you that there are many reasonss that they do this nasty thing.

There is a theory that putting pineapple in the meal stops them eating their poop, but it didn't work for Rogue.

Rogue too will only do this when left alone, & if she's in her crate, otherwise she passes it by, but we are quick with the poop-a-scoop round here. ;)

Try & work out a routine so that you know roughly when he needs to poop, so that you can get there before hand, & practice using a command for potty, so that you can start training him to go on command, so that he knows what you want from him.

mine as well

Yes Lisa did this as well, the vet said that it was a deficiency of some vitamins, minerals etc in her diet. I bought some of those multivitamins & mineral tablets, broke them up and squashed them inside a sausage. After a couple of weeks she stopped.

Yes, Sammy did this, but only when she was alone. She would use pee pads when she was a pup and I just figured it was out of boredom that she would use her poo as a toy and/or a tasty treat. If you have cats, don't be surprised if he goes for one of their tasty truffles now and then, too.
