Completely Boxer Crazy
My hubby and I went to the train station to pick up my stepson. And of course, I took Deeg with us. When my stepson got off the train, I saw a man with a beautiful fawn boxer walking through the crowd with no leash her. I was pondering to my self how impressed I was that this boxer stayed with her family in the middle of a crowed train station. I was also thinking the man had a lot of courage and trust letting her walk freely around moving trains, children and strangers.
Anyway, our stepson gets off the train, we are hugging him hello and all of a sudden, this fawn boxer was in the middle of our family reunion. Deeg, being the playful guy that he is, was really into meeting this pretty girl. I was trying to break the two of them up, when one of them let out a huge growl and then both of them raised up on their hind legs knocking Deeg’s leash our of my hands. The fawn boxer's dad called her back to him, she went but I could not grab Deeg's lease fast enough (it was dark). Deeg spotted a little skin girl about 3 years old. He high stepped with his front legs (somewhat like a puppy march) over to this little girl. It scared her and she started running form him and crying out for her daddy to help her. I was trying to step on Deeg's leash to stop him but kept missing his leash. When I finally caught up to him and got him settled down, I had a chance to look around at the crowd of people. EVERY single eye at that station was glaring at me, the little girl was crying, my husband fell into a shock and the girl's dad was ready to knock Deeg in the head...OMG poor Deeg! I get the feeling that the next time we go to the train station there will be a sign "No Dogs Allowed." I sure hope not.
