My Buddy likes to low crawl

My year old male likes to lay down on his chest and drag it along the carpet. Well this time hes given himself a nicle little rug burn Why does he do this??

does he have anything on his chest that could be causing it to itch? causing him to drag across the carpet for relief?

It doesn't seem that it would be any different than a dog dragging their butt on the carpet but it might do well to get it checked out anyway. There is such a thing as obsessive compulsive disorder in dogs and if he is doing it enough to rub himself raw and cause physical pain it might warrant asking the vet. I know that might sound a bit "crazy" but I saw something on TV about it not long ago and it stuck in my mind. Just thought I'd share.

Casey does the 'low crawl' but only when she is about to do a sneak attack on me or Punk! I can not stop laughing at her when she does it, she looks so silly!
