My Boy is growing up!

I joined the gym on Friday....and have actually been going ! Well, I decided to leave Herkie uncrated while I go, I'm usually only gone about 1 1/2 hrs. I have to crate him while I am at work, so I don't like to crate him any other time.So I decided to be brave and leave him out while I'm at the gym, I've done it every day so far...and he's been PERFECT!As we've only been here a couple of months, I was hesitant to leave him uncrated in a "new" place, my thinking he may have a little SA, but so far so good!This is such a milestone for Herkie, because even right before we moved up here, I would leave him out in my bf's daughters room....and he was still a terror! Hopefully one day I can work him up to being uncrated while I am at work, but still the thought of that terrifies me!I can just imagine coming home to a destroyed bed and no blinds! I've also started him on a 2 mile walk every day, and this seems to be helping his energy level a good bit, plus the season change...after out nightly walk...I can't pour him back outside! He's out & in, in a flash!But my baby is growing up...at the ripe age of 4...and I'm so proud of him!

Herkie your doing your mommy proud. Jessica you should be feeling so good I had to start early with sadie because she refused the crate :( she has the run of the house and the back yard, We put in a doggy door about three weeks and gave up...she has done pretty good, there's been a few small mess's a couple fake plantes distroyed little things here and there, thank God she's never chewed on the furniture, over all she does good, the other two days I take her to daycare and the dog park after work. good luck and keep up the good work Herkie

. so they really do grow up! Yeah Herkie! Gunther is 1 year old and I so look forward to the day that I can leave him alone outside his crate. We have awhile to go, yet, though.
