Both of my boys kind of lean forward to pee. lately Dozer has been trying to lift but he only manages to get one leg off the ground about 3 inches! It's quite a sight!

Thanks, everyone. It's great to know that Henry is just doing what comes naturally, and is not alone in what he does!

I do appreciate not having to stop and squirt a little at every lamp post though!

My King is 5 months and still squating. I was told that they atarted lifting their legs at 6 months if not neutered. Well maybe he'll stay a squater afterall:)

Danner (almost 2) still squats, it makes me happy. lol One time he attempted the lift his leg and he peed on his other foot so I'm glad he decided to just go with the squat. It's funny during the winter when it's cold outside, when he's doing his business he will balance, in a squat position, on his two front legs, lifting his back paws off the ground. Guess he figures why have 4 cold feet if you can balance on 2? It's pretty amusing to watch, he not only has to find "The Spot" but he also has to take a minute to get in the perfect front-paws-only balance position.

I think Sampson's always gonna be a squatter. Maybe lifting his leg is too much like exercise! He can be a very lazy boy when he wants to be.

Take a look at shanelori's avatar..... This is exactly how my male stands to pee. He's never been around another male dog so I think he just followed my female in learning to wiz.

My male "mutt" is 5 yrs old and is a squatter too! My boxer is a girl and they usually go out together so maybe he just copies her.
